The story is told of an arrogant young man named Jason who committed a crime, he was the son of a wealthy, local business owner. At his trial he was found guilty of embezzlement, yet even up throgh the rendering of the verdict. Jason appeared unconcerned, proud and nonchalant.
When the verdict was brought in however, the judge told the defendant to stand for the sentence. He stood, still somewhat cocky and proud. It was at this point that he glanced across the courtroom at his attorney's table- his father, too was standing.
Jason looked at his father, who once walked and stood erect with head and shoulders straight, as those of an honest man with a clear conscience. Now those same shoulders were bowed low with sorrow and shame- as if he were receiving the sentence himself. At the sight of his father, bent and humiliated,Jason finally began to weep bitterly and for the first time repented of his crime. During the years of his prison term, great reform occured in this young man's life- because of the identification his father felt with him. (Taken from The Greatest Mentors-- Tim Elmore)
Jesus identified with us we are His Passion.
He Jesus, the greatest success of all times, came to earth as a babe, did so many wonderful things yet he finished his life on a cross. Why? "For he hath made him [to be] sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. 2 Corinthians 5:21
You Are His Passion
Such love! How can you express your gratitude to Him.?
